Welcome to my page!
Leap here! (Not giving you a mandate... just making an introduction). I'm Leap. Leap Taylor. Aspiring novelist and professional daydreamer. Welcome to my little place.
Here I will share with you my stories. Both real and imaginary. Neither apathetic nor contrived. Some brilliant, some shamefully bad. But if you stick around, you will get them all (bless your heart).
The first offering is this, my completed debut young adult (YA) spiritual fantasy fiction novel, Micah’s Purpose. I consider it a fan-fiction reimagining of the origin story of Storm, from Marvel Comics The X-Men.
MICAH'S PURPOSE
As a teenager, Micah Young stands almost a foot taller than most of her peers, with rich almond skin, snow white hair and eyes that are as silver as the moon. Her mystical appearance gives away the hidden talents and gifts that live within her, for she can heal a dying man with her touch, speak every language known to man, and prophetically see the hidden mysteries that rest behind the eyes of strangers - but she is also flunking high school, has social anxiety issues and has been bullied most of her life because of her unique appearance.
Then add one deceptive brother, an unrequited love with the quintessential boy next door, and a guardian angel warrior who helps to narrate us through the action, and you begin to understand that hers is certainly a life less ordinary. Yet, with all of the power and sensation that comes with this exceptional existence, all Micah has ever desired …was to simply be like everyone else.
Until one day, after tragedy strikes at the heart of her seemingly sheltered world, she gets a possible glimpse into her reason for being so uniquely designed. And through her words, you are invited on an adventurous journey of self-discovery, as one soul seeks to understand its worth.

I admit it!… I read romance novels like some nervous people smoke cigarettes. INCESSANTLY!! Been reading them since I was a teenager, in fact. And I love them! So…I figured that I would try my hand at writing one. And you know what??..It was SO MUCH FUN! I loved doing it and I think that I created a wonderful piece of hot, steaming, burn-up-the-page, sexy, heart-pounding erotica. Wanna read some of it?! Of COURSE you do!!

MISCONCEPTION
~SUMMARY~
Beautiful, successful and hardworking, Mina Roberts had everything she wanted except for the motherhood that she always desired. So life should have been perfect after she became pregnant from fertility treatments with the use of donor sperm. Until the day she received a frantic call informing her that the wrong sperm was used for her insemination. Worse yet, the sample had been stolen from Luca Saldano-Vera, a ruthless and highly-respected Italian billionaire, who was threatening to sue everyone involved in the mix-up, including Mina. But upon meeting him, she was more concerned by her own visceral attraction to the arrogant man, than she was by his threats.
When Luca received word that his stolen sperm sample had been accidentally inseminated into an American woman, he was ready to go to war. He was one of the most powerful men in the country and had believed that this “accident” was nothing more than a malicious ploy from one of his enemies. So he was prepared to annihilate everyone involved in this heist, to include Mina, the main perpetrator. But what he was not prepared for was his unexplained carnal fascination with the woman in question.
When his anger and distrust turned into a desire that threatened to consume them both, instead of wanting revenge, he wanted her...and all of the complications that she came with. But the secrets and traditions of his powerful family were strong enough to tear them apart before they ever had a chance of becoming. Was he prepared to do whatever it took to have her and raise their forbidden child as his rightful heir?

My third offering is simple & sweet. It's my first attempt at writing a children's book (no illustrations, just words - so please use your wonderful imaginations). This is the first in a series of three stories, all of which are centered around adorable children and their delightful interactions with the wonders of nature. I hope that you enjoy!
So without further delay, I present to you... LOLA'S NIGHTLIGHT!
In a little town atop a hill,
There lived a little girl
With eyes as bright as diamonds,
And cheeks as round as pearls.
Her parents named her Lola.
Quite fitting, I suppose.
She wore brightly colored dresses
With long pigtails wrapped in bows.
She would sing a song each morning
To the bright sun up above,
For its glow would so delight her
With its beauty and its love.
With its sunrays shining on her
She would play and laugh and cheer,
But when evening dusk befell her
She was overcome with fear.
For when darkness came, she ran to bed
And shut her eyes so tight.
For she loved to play in midst of day
But was frightful of the night.
The sky was black, the clouds were gone,
The town fell fast asleep.
But the little girl with the diamond eyes
Would lay awake and weep.
She didn’t like the dark, you see.
The nightfall terrified her.
She knew her parents slept nearby,
But wanted them beside her.
She tried to sleep all by herself,
Pulling covers overhead.
But before too long, her fear gave way
And she ran to her parent’s bed.
And every night was much the same,
For with each rising sun,
A song of grateful thanks, she’d sing,
Her tears all dried and done.
Till one bright day when Lola sang,
The sun opened his eyes.
He looked at Lola, smiled and said
“Well what a nice surprise!”
“I hear you singing every day.
It makes my rays rejoice!
The songs you sing, so lovely...
Yes! Such an angelic voice”
“And here you stand, a little girl,
And brightly colored too!
You sing to me each day, so tell...
What can I do for you?”
“I’d like to grant you any wish
Your heart desires true.
You give to me a gift each day
Let me give one to you.”
The little girl with pearly cheeks
Smiled grandly, ear to ear.
She sat and pondered for awhile,
Until her choice was clear.
“Oh Mr. Sun, I love you so!
My songs are your bequest.
But since you asked, …and if I may
I have but one request.”
“When you’re asleep and darkness falls,
And all is quiet here,
I’m terrified of the hollow night
And lay awake with fear.”
“So if you could, and if you please,
No longer leave the sky.
Just stay in place all day and night
And never say Goodbye!”
The Sun looked down and smiled at her
“My limits, dear, are few -
I hate to disappoint your heart
But that, I cannot do.”
As Lola’s eyes filled up with tears,
The Sun was sad he fret her.
“I cannot shine at night” He said
“But I’ll do something better.”
“I’ll make for you a guardian!
He’ll watch over as you sleep.
He’ll protect you from your nighttime fear,
No longer will you weep.”
“His light won’t be as bright as mine,
But light he shall provide.
He’ll keep you safe and light the night,
While I light the morningside”
“He’ll appear as I take my leave,
And be round like a balloon.
We’ll pass as we exchange our place,
And I’ll call him “The Moon”.
The little girl, delighted so,
Joyfully danced and swooned.
She grew eager for the dusk to fall,
So she could meet The Moon.
And when the Sun had done his job,
Remembering what he pled,
He promised Lola nights of light
And did just what he said.
He winked at her with twinkled eyes
And in a flash of love,
A gorgeous ball of bluish light
Hung from the sky above.
And as the Sun went down that night,
The Moon rose in its place.
And Lola smiled from ear to ear,
With joy etched on her face.
Night was no longer scary,
For The Moon kept things alight.
And our little friend named Lola
Fell fast asleep that night.
The story ends, and all was well,
But shock befell the world
That the sun would make a great big moon
……..just for a little girl.
